More than 100,000 sign on to Save the Rhino!

A total of 101,500 people signed up to save the rhino during an eight-day signature campaign in Chitwan run by Eco Club students and supported by WWF Nepal. Four hundred and eighty members from 21 local Eco Clubs volunteered to raise awareness and collect signatures from around Nepal’s first protected area and World Heritage Site between 17-24 November. A delegation of students, teachers and WWF staff will hand over to the signatures to Honourable State Minister of Forests and Soil Conservation Mr Dilendra Prasad Baru on 1 December 2006.
