26^th December 2022: Chairperson of Marin Rural Municipality, Mr. Bimars Muktan and Executive Chairperson of Alternative Energy Promotion Center, Dr. Madhusudan Adhikari jointly inaugurated the project "Improving access to drinking water through solar lifting at Bhalumara Village, Marin, Sindhuli" The inauguration was attended by Ward-3 Chairperson, Mr. Jit Bahadur Shrestha, representatives from WWF, Nepal, local political party leaders: Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center) and Nepali Congress (NC), media, local CSOs and the beneficiary community. The event was chaired by Mr. Ashok Muktan, Chairperson, Bhalumara Namuna Krishi Samuha, the local partner for the implementation of the project. The project was implemented by Center for Rural Technology, Nepal (May-December) in support of WWF, Nepal and PRC and was funded by BMZ, Germany and CISU, Denmark.

The chief guest and the special guest honored Mr. Kancha Man Bomjan, Mr. Dal Bahadur Muktan/ Kancha Man Muktan, Shri Buddha Community Forest Users Group and Bhalumara Namuna Krishi Samuna for their invaluable contribution to the project by providing land for well construction, panel installation, reservoir tank construction and project implementation respectively.  In the same event, the project was handed over to Bhalumara Safe Drinking Water Users Committee (भालुमार स्वच्छ पिउने पानी उपभोक्ता समूह) by the implementing organization. After the handover, the local government has taken the responsibility of guardianship of the project.
